JUSTICE M.NAGAPRASANNA ORAL ORDER The petitioner is before this Court calling in question the proceedings in Crime No.4/2026 punishable under Sections 66C and 66D of the Information Technology Act and Section 318(4) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Sanhita, 2023.

2. Heard Sri. Srinatha B.V, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Sri. Vinay Mahadevaiah, learned HCGP appearing for respondent No.1, Sri.Y.R.Chikkanna, learned - 3 - NC: 2026:KHC:6541 CRL.P No. 1776 of 2026 HC-KAR counsel appearing for respondent No.2 and have perused the material on record.

During the pendency of these proceedings, it transpires that the parties to the lis have entered into a settlement and have filed a compounding application along with the Joint Affidavit. The Joint affidavit reads as follows: "JOINT AFFIDAVIT We,1) Chethan C S/o. Chalapathy M, Aged about 35 years, Resident of Ayappaswamy Temple, S A Mohan Nagar Bangarpet Taluk & District pin 563114 2) Sathishha C B S/o. Late Beerappa Aged about 30 years, #Chalganahalli Village Mavahalli, post Bangarpet Taluk Kolar district pin -563162 Now both are at Bengaluru 2, that the petitioner and respondent were known to each other as employer and employee the petitioner being the owners of the provision store and the respondent having worked as an employee there in 3, that during the course of employment Certain financial Transactions took place between the parties relating to business operations / account of paints & hardware shop 4, That due to misunderstanding and accounting discrepancies disputes arose between the parties which resulted in initiation of the present proceeding 5, That upon mutual discussion and reconciliation of accounts the entire disputed amount has been duly settled and written back to the accounts of the petitioners and no amount remains due from either side 6, That the settlement has been arrived at voluntary with out any force coercion undue influence , or pressure from any quarter - 4 - NC: 2026:KHC:6541 CRL.P No.

In the light of the compounding application and the joint affidavit so filed and as the offences being not against the State, I deem it appropriate to accept the same and terminate the proceedings against the petitioner in the subject petition.

For the aforesaid reasons, the following: ORDER i. ii. Criminal Petition stands disposed. Proceedings in Crime No.4/2026 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 66C and 66D of - 5 - NC: 2026:KHC:6541 CRL.P No. 1776 of 2026 HC-KAR the Information Technology Act and Section 318(4) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Sanhita, 2023, pending before the Senior Civil Judge and Principal JMFC at KGF, Kolar District, qua the petitioner stands quashed.
