Operative part
0.54 Rs. The petitioner was required to be paid an amount of Rs. 7.086/- lacs against such works which however has not been done as respondents unreasonable are stated to have withheld the same. Although the works so allotted have been completed by the petitioner within the stipulated time and there is absolutely no lapse whatsoever on the part of petitioner that may give a reason to the respondents to withheld the amount, however, the same is not being paid to the petitioner for unknown reasons. Despite opportunities the respondents have chosen not to file the objections. There are certain documents placed on record by the petitioner which have been issued by the respondents inter se reflecting inter alia that the works in question have been allotted to the petitioner and have been successfully executed by him. Once the works allotted to the petitioner have been completed by him pursuant to the allotment made in his favour, there should be no reasonable hiccup for the respondents to release the amount becoming due on account of such execution of the works in favour of the petitioner. Be that as it may, the instant writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondents to consider the of the petitioner for release of amount of Rs. 7.086/- lacs which has become due to him on account of the completion of the works allotted to him along with interest @ 6% p.a. within a period of four weeks subject to verification of bills.
