Chatterjee, A.P.P. --- 04/04.01.2023: Heard learned counsel for the applicant(s) and learned A.P.P. for the State. The applicants, who are custody since 24.07.2022, have approached this Court for grant of regular bail. The applicants are accused of committing offence under Section 12(1)(2) of the Jharkhand Bovine Animals Prohibition of Slaughter Act, 2005 and Section 3, 11 29, 35(IV) and 38 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act,
1960. Innocence has been claimed and participation in the trial has been assured. The applicants have no criminal antecedent. Investigation is complete. On the above facts, prayer for bail has been made. On the other hand, learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail. Considering the above facts, I am inclined to enlarge the applicants on bail. Accordingly, the applicants, above named, are directed to be released on bail, on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand only) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned C.J.M., Lohardaga, in connection with Bhandra P.S. Case No.46 of 2022 (G.R. No.440 of 2022) on the condition that the applicants will submit self-attested photocopy of their Aadhaar Card and also submit their mobile number before the learned court below which they will always keep active and will not change it during pendency of this case without prior permission of the court.
