Bipin Chander Negi, Judge (oral) The present petition has been filed against a show cause notice issued by the Assistant Collector, 1st Grade, Nagrota Bagwan, District Kangra, Himachal Padesh informing the present petitioner-Society with respect to initiation of proceedings under Section 163 of the Himachal Pradesh Land Revenue Act, 1954 initiated for removal of encroachment made by present petitioner-Society.

The present proceedings against the issuance of a show cause notice is premature. In view thereof, present petition is disposed of with a 1 Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 direction to respondent No.4 to proceed further, in accordance with law, qua pending proceedings initiated against the petitioner-Society for removal of alleged encroachment under Section 163 of the Himachal Pradesh Land Revenue Act, 1954.
The parties are directed to appear before the Assistant Collector, 1st Grade, Nagrota Bagwan, District Kangra, on 20.08.2025. The petitioner-Society is free to raise its defence in the said proceedings. Subject to the convenience of the said authority, the proceedings initiated under Section 163 of the Himachal Pradesh Land Revenue Act, 1954 be disposed of as expeditiously as possible, in accordance with law.
