Mr. Navlesh Verma, Additional Advocate General, for the petitioners/State. Ms. Heena Chauhan, Advocate, vice Mr. B.S. Thakur, Advocate, for the respondent. The perusal of the award shows that the amount claimed by the contractor is in the sum of Rs. 82,82,369/- (Rupees eighty two lakhs, eighty two thousands, three hundred and sixty nine). As per Notification No. Home-B.B(15)1/2015- Vol-II, dated 2nd May, 2026, Court of District Judge/Additional District Judge shall have original jurisdiction in all commercial disputes, the pecuniary value of which exceeds Rs. 60,00,000/- (Rupees sixty lakhs), but does not exceed Rs. 1,00,00,000/- (Rupees one crore). Since in the present case, the amount claimed by the claimant is in the sum of Rs. 82,82,369/-, therefore, the objection petition is transferred to the Court of learned District Judge, Kangra at Dharamshala, H.P., who shall dispose of the same in accordance with law. The parties through their counsel are directed to appear before the aforesaid Court on 10.09.2026. The records be sent to the said Court, forthwith, so as to reach well before the date fixed.
