PleaderO R D E RThe petitioner has come to this Court seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to direct therespondent, the District Athidravidar and Scheduled Tribe WelfareOfficer, Karur, to fix a date for personal interview of the petitionerfor the post of District Overseers, for the reason that the petitioner atthe time of receiving the call letter for personal interview to be heldon 18.11.2011 at about 11.00 a.m. in District Athidravidar and ScheduledTribe Welfare Office, she was admitted in Janet nursing home at Trichyfor delivery on 16.11.2011. As she was admitted in the hospital in acritical condition due to high blood pressure and eight months IUGR babywith severe oligohydramnios she had to undergo emergency LSCS on16.11.2011 to save her life and also her child. In that view of thematter, she was not able to attend the said interview on 18.11.2011.However, by giving all the relevant medical documents, requested therespondent to fix another date for interview, as she possessed requisitequalification to the post of District Overseer, but the respondent didnot give any reply. As a result, the petitioner has come to this Courtseeking a direction to the respondent to fix a date of personal interview.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that only in viewof the peculiar circumstances under which the petitioner had to keep awayfrom the interview, she was not able to attend the said interview on18.11.2011. However, she is ready and prepared to participate in theinterview. But the respondent has not issued any interview call letter. When the petitioner was issued with interview call letter on 18.11.2011for the post of District Overseers in District Athidravidar and ScheduledTribe Welfare Office, the respondent has also issued call letters to fivecandidates including the petitioner. Unfortunately, due to the reasonsmentioned above, the petitioner was not able to respond to the call https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 2letter and by the time, the respondent completed the entire process ofselection selecting one of the five candidates. Therefore, it is too latefor the petitioner to approach this Court with the above mentioned prayer.

In that view of the matter, the request of the petitioner cannotbe considered. Accordingly, this Writ petition fails and the same isdismissed. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petitionis closed.
