Selvi Gold Finance, in turn, had re-pledged the same with certain NBFCs. Selvi Gold Finance was not able to redeem the jewellery pledged with the NBFCs. The NBFCs would blame the Selvi Gold Finance as having been non-cooperative. In this background, the present writ petition came to be filed. 3.The petitioners want action to be taken by the official respondents. It is well settled that to resolve private contractual disputes, writ jurisdiction cannot be invoked. There is no privity of contract between the writ petitioners and NBFCs. The writ petitioners had dealings only with the Selvi Gold Finance.
