ORDER :

The Court made the following order :- The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 9, 39(1) a, b, d, 39(3), a, b, c, 40(2), 50 and 51(2) of Wild Life (Protection) Amendment Act, 2022, in W.L.O.R.No.07 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

The case of the prosecution is that on 24.12.2025, at about 07.00 a.m., the petitioners illegally transported sea cucumbers in a stolen bike. Hence, the complaint.

The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are innocent persons and they have not committed any offences as alleged by the prosecution. He further submitted that the petitioners are ready and willing to abide by any 2/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL OP(MD). No.2075 of 2026conditions which may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he seeks anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the petitioners illegally transported sea cucumbers in a stolen bike. Hence, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

Considering the nature of the allegation and the seriousness of the offence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
