With the consent of both the parties, these writ petitions are taken up for final disposal today at the stage of admission itself.2. The petitioners in W.P. Nos.48473, 48477, 48481 and 48489 of 2025 and husband of the petitioner in W.P. No.48487 of 2025, joined the services of 3/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P. Nos.48473, 48477, 48481, 48487 and 48489 of 2025the respondent Corporation. After rendering long and unblemished service, they retired from the services. It is their grievances that even lapse of several years from the date of retirement, the respondent Corporation has failed to disburse the certain amount payable towards encashment of earned leave and Employees Retirement Benefit Scheme etc. Despite repeated representations and continuous requests, certain payments are yet to be settled. As a result, the petitioners have been deprived of their legitimate terminal benefits. Therefore, these writ petitions have been filed with the aforesaid prayer.3. Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that it would suffice if a direction is issued to consider the respective representations of the petitioners seeking certain payments as stated supra with interest and pass orders in accordance with law, within a stipulated time.4. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents has stated no objection for issuance of such a direction by this Court.5. Considering the limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court directs the respondent Corporation to consider the 4/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P. Nos.48473, 48477, 48481, 48487 and 48489 of 2025respective representations of the petitioner with regard to payment of encashment of earned leave and Employees Retirement Benefit Scheme etc, if they are eligible, together with interest @ 6% from the date on which the amount became due and payable till the date of actual realisation, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case. 6. These writ petitions are disposed of accordingly.
