Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.G.Srinivasan, respondent, appeared in person.3. It is seen from the typed set of papers that the petitioner filed a Review Application on 25.07.2025 in reference No.202507250726 through online portal seeking review of the order dated 26.05.2025 passed in C.C.No.140 of 2023. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the Review Application was neither numbered nor returned. He further submitted that as per the online status available in the official website, the papers are still under scrutiny. 4. Section 40 of Consumer Protection Act, 2019 reads as follows.40. The District Commission shall have the power to review any of the order passed by it, if there is an error apparent on the face of the record, either of its own motion or on an application made by any of the parties within thirty days of such order.__________Page2 of 5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRP No. 359 of 20265. Therefore, it is clear that final orders passed by the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission can be reviewed by an application filed by either of the parties, within 30 days from the date of receipt of copy of the order. According to the petitioner, he was delivered with certified copy of the impugned order on 01.07.2025. The instant review application was filed as early as on 25.07.2025 and the same has not been either numbered or returned. Therefore, the petitioner has approached this court. 6. In view of the above, the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Chengalpattu is directed to scrutinise the review application filed by the petitioner dated 25.07.2025 and number it, if it is otherwise in order. If the Commission finds any defects in the papers filed by the petitioner, it can always point out the defects and return the papers. The Commission shall scrutinise the papers and indicates its position with regard to the numbering of the papers or return of the papers, within two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.7. With the above direction, this civil revision petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
