The case of the petitioner is that the impugned orders resulted in a duplication of demand, as that demand is already covered by the respective orders as detailed below:Sl. A reading of the above table indicates that there is a duplication of the demand insofar as the interest that has been confirmed against the petitioner. This is confirmed by the learned Government Advocate for the respondent.6. Since an ex parte order has been passed, these cases are remitted back to the 1st respondent to pass a fresh order, subject to the petitioner depositing 100% of the disputed interest covered by the impugned Orders dated 18.11.2023 and 23.12.2022, and covered by the impugned Order dated 24.10.2024 in cash from the Petitioner's Electronic Cash Register, within a period of thirty (30) days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.7. Within such time, the petitioner shall also file a reply to the 8/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.Nos.39876, 39880 & 39886 of 2025respective show cause notices together with requisite documents to substantiate the case by treating the respective impugned orders as an addendum to the respective show cause notices.8. Subject to the petitioner complying with the above stipulations, the 1st respondent shall proceed to pass fresh orders on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of three (3) months of such reply / pre-deposit.9. It is needless to state that, before passing any such order, the petitioner shall be heard. 10.
