The allegations are in the nature of domestic protest without due permission. A case was registered in Crime No.834 of 2017 on 31.05.2017 for the alleged offences under Sections 341 and 333 of the Indian Penal Code. Given the context and nature of the allegations, continuing the trial impinges on the right to a speedy trial of the accused. No useful purpose will be served by continuing the case.
