The same is appealable under Section 152(1)(a) of the aforesaid Act. Since an effective alternative remedy of appeal is available and the appeal lies before the Principal District Judge, Cuddalore District and not before any administrative authority, I am not inclined to interfere with the same in exercise of jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.2. As the order has been passed on 29.12.2020, during the outbreak of the Covid-19 Pandemic, the petitioner is entitled to the benefit of the orders passed by the Supreme Court extending the period of limitation. Consequently, the period of limitation for filing the appeal shall commence only from 01.05.2022.
