Heard. The respondent was tried before the learned Special Judge, Beed, in Special Case No. 18/2002 and was acquitted of the offences punishable under section 7, 13 (1) (d) and section 13 (2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. The appeal against acquittal order came to be admitted. The respondent was found absent and, therefore, non-bailable warrant was issued against him. Now, the report has been received from the ( 2 ) concerned office of the Anti Corruption Bureau, Beed that the respondent died on 06-03-2009. A copy of death certificate is placed on record alongwith the report. Mr. Thombre, learned advocate for the respondent (accused) also submits that the respondent is no more. In this view of the matter, the appeal stands abated. It is accordingly disposed of. NPJ/criapl423-06 [ V.R. KINGAONKAR ] JUDGE
