For the reasons separately recorded in the Judgment, following operative order is passed :- (i) The impugned Judgment and Order dated 5th May 1989 is quashed and set aside. (ii) The Appellants acquitted offences punishable under Sections 20,21 and 22 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. (iii) Bail bonds of the Appellants are cancelled. (iv) If fine amount is paid by the Appellants, the same shall be refunded to them. (v) The direction regarding Muddemal property issued the learned Additional Sessions Judge is however confirmed.
