2. Heard Mr. K. Ravinder Reddy, lcarnecl counsel for the petitioners and Mr.M.Srinivas, learned Assistant Govcrnment Pleader for Home appearing for respondent Nos. 1 to 5.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that respondent No.6 has been interfering in civil disputes between the petitioners and the unoflicial respondents and has been insisting that the petitioners settle those disputes. Aggrieved thereby, the petitioners have filed the present writ petition seeking appropriate directions from this Court.
4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home submits that, during the course of investigation in Crime No. 968 of 2017, the presence of the petitioners was secured for the purpose of .t - l inquiry. Except lor such inquiry, the respondent Police have not interfercd in any civil disputes as alleged by the petitioners. Hencc, pravcd that the writ petition be dismissed.

Having regard to the asscrtions made by the petitioners in the alfidavit and taking into consideration the limited jurisdiction of th(' Policc in civil matters, it is directed that respondent No. 6 shall rcfrain from interfering in the civil disputes between the petiti()ners and the unofhcial respondents, and shall not insist upon any settlernent of such disputes. However, it is made clear that any action taken by the respondent Police authorities in strict accordance u'ith law and in due process shall stand protcr)tccl. 7 . With this direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall bc no order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, pending if any, shall stand closed. I SD/.
