2. Heard Mr.Vempati Mallikarjuna Shastry, l: trned counsel for the petitioners and Mr, Jithender Rao Veer: nalla, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the res I rndent No. 1 .

3. Learned counsel for the petitioners sui nits that the petitioners are the in-laws of the deceased and t rat they never harassed her, who was their daughter-in-law. He rrther submits that they were residing separately from accuserl No.1 and the deceased, and that they never, uttered any abus rve words nor subjected the deceased to harassment, and that they are now facing false allegations at the instance of the nother of the deceased, who is the de facto complainant. He 1 rrther submits that the petitioners are aged and find it difficult to attend the proceedings, and that continuation of the proce:r dings against them amounts to abuse of process of law. He, the 'efore, prayed to quash the proceedings against the petitioners.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor suk 'nits that the contents of the complaint and the investigation r :veal that the petitioners used abusive and vulgar language against the deceased and that there are several incidents r f harassment \ttributed to them. lt is further submitted that the )etitioners are .! ETD, J Crl.P 17501 2025 facing allegations of abetting the suicide of the deceased. He, therefore, prayed to dismiss the petition

6. The contents of the complaint, the recitals of the charge sheet, and the statements of witnesses point out harassment against the deceased. A perusal of the complaint reveals that vulgar language was used in harassing the victim, and even when the parents of the deceased intervened, the petitioners abused them in vulgar language. Further, it is alleged that the accused attributed mental illness to the deceased and insulted her and that due to the unbearable harassment the deceased committed suicide. The petitioners herein are facing allegations under Sections 498-4 and 306 of the lPC, and the allegations are serious in nature. Hence, this Court does not find any ground to interfere with the proceedings at this stage

7. Accordingly, this Criminal Petition is disposed of dispensing with the presence of the petitioners before the trial court provided that they are represented by a counsel before the trial court on I I To 1 2 3
