3. Lczrr -d counsel for the petitioner submits th: the petitioaer is presently working as a Technical Assistant and is I rlly quaiihed and eligible for promotion to the post of Royal Inspe< 1 )r. However, the respondents are not considering her case for prom r ion solely on the ground of pendency of departmental proceedings r itiated pursuant to the charge memo issuecl uide G.O. Rt. No. 19 ! lndustries and Commerce (Vigilance) Departrnent, dated 30. 12.2( 24. It is further submitted that the petitioner submitted her rvritt,r r explanation on
13.02.2025 , but without considering the same. r n enquiry was ordered. However, there is no progress in the said : rquiry. As such, learned counsel prays this Court to direct th,r respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion tc he post of Royal Inspector in terms of G.O.Ms.No.257, General Adrri ristration (Ser.C) Department, dated 10.06. 1999
4. Learned Government Pleader appearing for -he respondents submits that, in vier", of the pendency of departrn e rtal proceedings against the petitioner, she is not entitled to promori rn. Hou,ever, the I respondents will consider the petitioner's case for promotion to the post of Royal Inspector in terms of G.O.Ms.No.257, General Administration (Ser.C) Department, dated 10.06. 1999.

Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the respective parties and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Ro1'a1 Inspector in terms of G.O.Ms.No.257, General Administration (Ser.C) Department, dated 10.06.1999, as arld when promotions are effected.
