2. Heard Sri K. chaithanya, learned counsel for the petitioners; learned Government Pleader for Cooperation, for respondent Nos.1 and 2 and sri N. sreedhar Reddy, learned Standing counsel for TGSPDCL, for respondent No.3.

3. Learned coui.sel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are long-standing tenants of respondent No.2 and have been carrying on their businesses for many years after regularly paying rents and electricity charges. He submits that certain eviction suits filed by respondent No.2 are pending before competent Civil Courts, and cluring this pendency, respondent No.2 has allegedly attempted to indirectly evict the petitioners by requesting disconnection of electricity to their shops. He further submits that any such disconnection would cause severe prejudice to the petitioners' livelihood and is violative of principles of natural justice.

4. On the other hand, learned Standing Counsel for respondent No.3 has filed a counter affidavit stating that although a letter dated 03.05.2025 was received from respondentNo.2, respondent No.3 inspected the subject premises and found 12 service connections, of which 10 connections are active afld current , consumlt*ln bitls are being paid regularly. He submits that none /z J of the active electricity connections have been disconnected and there is no proposal to disconnect any such connections so long as electricity bills are regularly paid by the petitioners. He submits that only two service connections (sc Nos. 1720243792 and oL75222532) are under "bill stop" due to non-utilization, not due to any action taken on respondent No.2's request. He further submits that there is no imminent threat of disconnection of power supply to the petitioners'shops, and the writ petition is filed purely on apprehension without any actual violation of rights.

5. In view of the specific stand taken in the counter affidavit by respondent No.3 that electricity supply to the petitioners' shops has not been disconnected and that there is no intention to disconnect the s€une as long as the petitioners continue to pay their electricity charges, the apprehension expressed by the petitioners does not survive for further adjudication. Hence, no cause of action exists for the present writ petition.

6. Recording the categorical statement made by respondent No.3 in his counter affidavit, the writ petition is disposed of, observing that the electricity service connections of the petitioners, shops shall not be disconnected except in accordance with law and upon following due procedure, if any occasion arises in future.
