Ram Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioners and Sri D. Edukondalu, learned Assistant Government Pleader for the State of Andhra Pradesh appears for respondent No. 1.
2. On 24.09.2025, this Court passed the following order. "Mr. K. Ram Reddy, leamed counsel for tJ:e petitioner is present. During the course of submissions, learned counsel for the petitioner has referred to the .stand of respondents No.2 and 4 at para 7 of the counter-allidavit and submitted that the representation of the petitioner for extension of the benefits of Non-Contributory Group Superannuation Scheme vide CAcuhr dated. 27 .O2.2O 75, was taken up by the Board, but has been deferred for tlle present. The grievance of the petitioners would be served, if a direction is issued upon respondents No.2 and 4, the State and the Corporation, to take a decision on 2 extension of the benefit to the petitioners, who have retired prior to the date of coming into force of the aforesaid Scheme i.e., 31.10.2O 14. However, learned counsel for respondents No.2 and 4 are not represented today. Therefore, let the matter appear after two weeks."
3. Even after adjournment, respondent Nos.2 and 4 are not represented today.
4. l,earned counsel for the petitioners has reiterated the prayer made as referred to in the previous order. He submits that the grievance of the petitioners would be served if a direction is issued upon respondent Nos.2 and 4 to take a decision on extension of the benehts of Non- contributorj' Group Superannuation .scheme vide circular dated 27.02.2015 on which no resolution has been taken by respondent No.4.

In view of the aforesaid submissions and the limited facts relevant for disposing of the writ petition, at this stage, we direct respondent No.4 in particular to take a decision on the question of extension of the benefits of / 3 Non-contributory Group Superannuation Scheme to the petitioners vide circular dated 27.02.2015 within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Needless to say that any correspondence or instructions from the parent Revenue Excise Department if required also be undertaken during the same period. Respondent No.2 is directed to furnish the requisite clarification or the guidelines if required by respondent No.4 in taking a decision on the aforesaid issue within the same time.
6. The petitioners are directed to place a copy of the writ proceedings which contains their case and supporting documents for facilitating such decision by respondent No.4 as directed above. We, however, make it clear that this Court has not made any comments on the merits of the case of the petitioners. Needless to say that if the petitioners are aggrieved by any such resolution, it would be open for them to raise their grievance in an appropriate proceeding in accordance with law. 4
