MADHAVT DEVI WRIT PETITION No.35123 of 2025 ORDER: The Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to allot CMR paddy for Kharif 2025-26 season on par with other rice millers, without reference to Crime No.l28 of 2025 on the file of Kalur Timmandoddi Police Station, Jogulamba Gadwal.
2. Sri K. Devender, learned Standing Counsel for Telangana State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited, appearing for respondents No.2 & 5, has obtained written instructions, according to which there is a shortfall in the supply of custom-milled rice for the Rabi 2022-23 season, Kharif and Rabi 2024-25 seasons. Therefore, the petitioner is a defaulter and cannot be allotted CMR paddy t

Learned counsel for the petitioner, however, has drawn the attention of this Court to the order passed in W.P.No.2682I of 2025 dated 04.07.2025, wherein the circumstances leading to the shortfall in supply of CMR for Rabi 2022-23 were considered. The respondents were directed to take a decision on the explanation submitted by the petitioner within a period of four (04) weeks thereform and with r 2 TMDJ wp_35t23 2025 regard to the shortfall for Kharif and Rabi 2024-25, the petitioner was permitted to carry out custom milling of paddy under the supervision of the concerned offlcials and supply the cMR rice. The respondents were therefore required to consider the explanation of the petitioner for Rabi 2022-23 and pass appropriate orders and thereafter take a decision with regard to the supply of paddy for Khari r2025-26. 4- The instructions now placed before this court only refer to the letter addressed by the District Manager, TGSCSCL, to the commissioner, civil Supplies, dated l5.l I .2025 for necessary instruction for allotment of cMR paddy to the petitioner. 5: [n view thereof, respondent No.4 is directed to pursue the matter with the comrnissioner and thereafter take a decision with regard to the shr:rtfall I'or Rabi 2022-23 and Rabi and Kharif 2024_25, I without reference to the pending crime No.r2g of 2025, if the issues pertain only to the shortfall. The decision shall be taken expeditiously, preferably within a period of two (02) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and thereafter pass orders for the supply of cMR paddy to the petitioner for Kha rif 2025-26, if the petitioner is otherwise eligible. 3 TMDJ wp_35123_2025
6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
