02.12.2024 is bad in law and contrary to the Section t5A of the -['elangana Cooperative Societies Act, 1964 2, Learned counsel lor the petitioner submitted that thc petitioner society had the area of operation lor Chinthamadugu l'ank, which got submerged in the Godavari Rivel and therelbre, the society have right of fishing in thc Godavari fuver. Learned counsel for the petitioner furlher submitted that this Court in W.l'.No.l1928 of 2024 dated 10.06.2024 had modified the earlier interim order dated 02.05.2024 by observing rhar onlv individual fishermen can be granted tishing rights and licenses and not the Fishermen Cooperative Societies. [t is submitted that subsequently, the members of Fishermen ()ooperative Societies ol two villages namely Rampur and Daslirrabad, were granted individual licenses for fishing. Therefore, the rnembers of the ) \\P lsii I \1t) .1 l0tl \ petitioner society sought grant of similar anangelnent. Leatned counsel for the petitioner further submitted that pursuant to the interim dile,:tions of this Court dated 10.06.2024. tl're rnet.nbcrs ol- the petirionel society were also granted licenses lor fishing, ho'nvcver, tfre same were valid only up to 30.t16.2025. 4. Leamcd counsel appearing for unofficial respondents :\-o.'1 to 63 reitera ted tl'rat individual members of the societies sl-rou ld be grantcd fishing rights and that their cases should be considercd fbr I I wP i815 2024 renewal as and when fishing activity is permitted in the water bodies.

5. In view of the above submissions, this Court deems it fit and proper to direct the respondents to renew the fishing licenses ofthe members of the petitioner society as well as the unolficial respondents, as and when the next hshing operations are permitted in the respective Godavari River.
