2. This Writ Petition is filed seeking to declare the inaction of respondent No.4 on the petitioner's representations dated
10.03.2025 and 26.08.2025 respectively as illegal and arbitrary.
3. Heard Mr. Duddu Nava Kiran, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Sri N. Bhujanga Rao, learned Deputy Solicitor General of India, appearing on behalf of the respondents. Perused the material on record.
4. Brief facts of the case are that the petitioner's husband, Shri Tanguturi Anandarao, was employed as a Driver in the Department of Geological Survey of India, Bandlaguda, Hyderabad, and retired on 30.08.20t2. The petitioner was lawfully married to him on 25.04.L979 in accordance with Christian customs, and they were blessed with five children. The petitioner's name was recorded as his spouse in the official service records vr'de Reference No.47001 issued by respondent No.6 on 10.09.1980. During his service, the names of their first three children were recorded in his service 2 I records. For a certain period, the petitioner's husband was estranged from her, leading the petitioner to file Maintenance case No.7 of 2004 before the court of the ludicial First-class Magistrate' Chilakaluripet, wherein the Court, by order dated 20.07.2004, directed maintenance in favour of the petitioner and her younger daughter. Thereafter, upon his retirement, he resumed marital life with the petitioner and lived with her until his demise on 04.0 t.2o25. The petitioner is now aged about 68 years, and is suffering from serious medical conditions, and has no independent source of income, making her financially dependent on her children'

The petitioner submitted representations seeking sanction of pension and death benefits due to her deceased husband, first through her advocate on 10.03.2025, which WaS received by respondent No.4 on 12.03 .2025, with acknowledgment returned on 24.03.2025, and again by registered post on 26.08.2025, delivered on 29.08 .2025. Despite receipt of both representations, respondent Nos.3 and 4 failed to take any action. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed the present Writ Petition'

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that that the respondents may be directed to consider the rePresentations 10.03.2025 and 26.08.2025 submitted bY the Petitioner on respectively and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law' ' !. I I I ! t I J 7 Learned Deputy Solicitor General of India, appearing for the respondents, submits that they had no objection for the disposal of the petitioner's representations dated 10.03.2025 and 26.08.2025

Taking into consideration the submissions made by the learned counsel for the respective parties, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the respondent authorities to consider the petitioner's representations dated 10.03.2025 and 26.08.2025, and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of eight (B) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous applications pending, if any, in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed. .S.
