2. With the consent of the learned counsel for the parties, the matter is heard finally.
3. The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to f / the respondents to consider the petitioner's request and permit him to register and exercise web options for counselling for admission into MBBS/BDS course under 2 Managernent Quota "B" and "C" categories for the academic year 2025-2026.

Tht: case of the petitioner is that he exercised web options for BDS course and due to inadvertence, he could not exerc:ise web options for admission into NIBBS co He could not secure seat in BDS course as per his rit. As he failed to exercise wqb options for MBBS course in the first phase of counselling, he was made ineligible for exercising web options for MBBS course in the round of counselling. He made a request to the U to permir: him to participate in the nex.t round counselling, but the same was not considered. Hence, writ petition.
5. Learned Standing Counsel for the Universit5r referred to the notification dated 22.09.2025. It 1S i: submitted that the note and instructions to the categorically specify that the candidates in the final list, who do not exercise web options in the first phase counselling, shall not be eligible to exercise.web options the subsequent phases of counselling to pr.event w J blocking. The petitioner is one such candidate, who has not exercised his web options in the first phase of counselling nor has opted for admission into MBBS/BDS course under Management Quota "8" and "C" categories. He submits that the corrigenda dated O4.1O.2O25 and
06.1O.2025 permit fresh registrations only to such candidates, who had exercised web options. Therefore, the petitioner does not fit in"the said category. He, however, submits that if the petitioner makes a representation, the University would consider it in accordance with law.

Having considered the submissions' of learned counsel for the petitioner as also the learned Standing Counsel for the University and having regard to the above facts and circumstances, the petitioner is allowed to make a representation before the University in respect of his claim for exercise of web options for admission into MBBS/BDS course for the academic year 2025-26 under Management Quota "B" and "C" categories. On receipt of such representation, the Universit5r would consider the sarne in accordance with law within a period of two days. \ 4
7. If the University allows the petitioner to exercise his web dptions, his case shall be considered irr the unfilled seats in the mop-up round
8. Let it be made clear that we have not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
