THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE V.V.S.RAO AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN WRIT PETITION No.10924 of 2008 ORDER: (per Hon’ble Sri Justice V.V.S.Rao) The petitioner is the owner of a contract carriage bearing No.AP/12U-7276. The bus was engaged under hire to carry passengers from Hyderabad to Chennai. On 12.05.2008 the bus was seized under vehicle check report No.0545540 alleging various contraventions. The petitioner then filed the present writ petition seeking a direction to release the bus. This Court while admitting the writ petition on 21.05.2008 directed the release of the bus to the petitioner on condition of the petitioner depositing a sum of Rs.10,000/-. Counsel for the petitioner now submits that on complying with the order of the Court, the bus has been released and, the petitioner has already filed an application under Rule 448-B of the Andhra Pradesh Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989. Therefore, we give liberty to the petitioner to avail the remedies against any action that may be initiated by the respondents under the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, and the Andhra Pradesh Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1963. The Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs. _______________ (V.V.S.RAO, J) _____________________________
