2. Petitioner seeks consideration of her prayer lor registration and exercise of wcb option for admission to MBBS/BDS course under Management Quota 'B' category and participating in the ongoing counselling process for the academic vear 2025 26. -{rlr- l
3. The case of the petitioner is that inadvertently sl-re could not rcgister for adrrission under Managr:ment Quota "B" categorl .

5. Learni d Standing Counsel lor the University submits that the las. datc of applications for registratlon has been closed and tl're Universitv cannot extend tht: date. He submits that Lhe counselling proccss has comrnenced, after the issue of 'local candidate' rvas decided bv the Hon'ble Supreme Court uidc judgment dated O1 .O9.2025 in Special Leave Petition (C) Nos.21536-2 15BB of 2024. Therefore, the Ur-rivc;-sitv s'ouid not be in a position to entertain the petitioner's application lor registration lbr atlmission to MBBS/BDS Course under Management Quota .B'categon'. It u,ould bc a futile exercise. 6 . Having regard to the aloresaid circum stances and upon consideration of the submissron of learned counsel for the parties, we are of the vieu'that since the admission to MBBS/ BDS course has a delinite trmeline required to be adhered to by the University and the cut off dates for application or counselling are sacrosanct, there is no point 1n asking the University to consider the petitioner's application for fresh registration and participating in the ongoing counselling for admission to MBBS/BDS course under Management Quota 'B' category. Therefore, we are not inclined to issue any directions to that effect.
7. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. B. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in case the date of applications for registration to the above courses is extended, the University may be directed to consider the application of the petitioner for registration for admission to MBBS/BDS Course under Management Quota 'B' categorJ'. :1
