Petitioner seeks consideration of her prayer lor registration for admission to MBBS course under SC Group-l category and participating in the ongoing counselling process for the academic year 2025-26. She is a native of Telangana State. According to her representation dated 23.09.2025, she has not applied for registration. The date of applications was also over and the website 2 Y] was closed tbr registration. petitioner contencls that sl.re has l-air chances ol getting admission in NEET. -i. I-earned counsel for the petitioner submits that thc respondents tlay be directed to consider the representation of the petitionel in line with similar order dated 16.09.2025, passed by this Court, in other case such as W.p.No.27g3g o12025.

4. l.earned Standing Counsel for the University submits that the last datc of applications for registration has been closed and thc [ ']^i,ersity carnot extend the date. Ire submits that thc c.u,seling process has cornmenced on 15.09.2025 after the issue ol .local candidate' was decided by the Hon,ble Supreme Courl vide judgment dared Ol .09.2025 in Special Leave petition (C) Nos.2l536-2 1 588 of 2024. Therefore, the University would not be in a position to enteftain the petitioner,s application fbr registration lbr adrnission to course under SC Group_I categol.y. It wou [d be a futile excrc ise

5. Having regard to the aforesaid circumstances and upon consideration of the submissions of learaed counsel for the parties. ( -f 3 we are of the view that since tl're adn-rission to MBBS course has a definite timeline required to be adhered to by the University and the cut off dates for application or counselling are sacrosanct, there is no point in asking the University to consider the petitioner's application for registration and participating in the ongoing counselling for admission to MBBS course under SC Group-I category. Therefore, we are not inclined to issue any direction to tl.rat effect

6. Accordingly, the instant Writ Petition is dismissed. (

At this stage, the learned counsel for the petitioner subrnits that in case the date of applications for registration to the above course is extended, the University may be directed to consider the application of the petitioner for registration for admission to MBBS course under SC Group-l category 8 It goes without saying that in case the date ol applications for registration to the above course is extended, it would open for the petitioner to make such an application, which would be 4 YJ considered b1, the respondent University in accor.dance with law.
