Petitioner seeks consideration of her prayer for registration for admission to MBBS course under SC Group-I category and parlicipating in the ongoing counselling process for the academic year 2025-26. He is a native olI'elangana State. According to her representation dated 23.09.2025, he lias not applied lor registration The date of applications was also ovcr and the website was closed 2 for regish'ation petitioner contends that he has tair chanccs or getting admission in NEET. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner subrnits that the .espondents may be directed to consider thc represcntation oI the petitioner in tine with similar order dated 16.0g.2025, passed by this Court, in other case such as W.p.No.27g3g of 2025.
4. Learncd Standing Counsel for the University srrbrrirs that the Iast date of applications for registration has becn closed and the University cannot extend the date. He submits that the counselling process has commenced on 15.09.2025 after .the issue of ,local candidate' was decidcd by the Hon,ble Suprerne Court vide judgment dated 01.0g.2025 in Special Leave t)etition (C) Nos.21536-2 l5gg of 2024. Therefore, the University would not be in a position to enreftain the petitioner,s application fbr.registr.ation for admission to course under SC Group_I category. It r.vould be a futile exercise 5 ' Having regard to the aforesaid circumstances and upor_r consideration of the submissions of learned counsel for the parties. !a\J - .. -/ \ 3 we are of the view that since the admission to MBBS course has a definite timeline required to be adhered to by the University and the cut offdates for application or counselling are sacrosanct, there is.no point in asking the University to consider the petitioner,s application fbr registration and participating in the ongoing counselling for admission to MBBS course under SC Group_I category. Therefore, we are not inclined to issue any direction to that effect. 6 Accordingly, the instant Writ petition is dismissed l. At this stage, the learned counsel fbr the petitioner submils that in case the date of applications for registration to the above course is extended, the University rnay be directed to consider the application of the petitioner for registration for admission to MBBS course under SC Group-I category.

It goes without saying that in case the date of applications for registration to the above course is extended, it would open for the petitioner to make such an application, which wou ld be f 4 considercd by the respondent University in accordance with la,,r,.
