Counsel for the Appellants: GP FOR REVENUE Counsel for the Respondent.: MR.D.V.SIVA PRASAD .....RESPONDENT The Court made the following Order : (per Sri BRSR.J) The learned single Judge rightly interfered with the memo issued by the Joint Collector, Ranga Reddy District dated 6.2.2001 instructing all the Sub-Registrars in the District not to entertain any documents for registration of agricultural and non- agricultural lands without prior approval of the Joint Collector. The Joint Collector has no authority in law to issue such memos. The learned single Judge having found that the memo issued by the Joint Collector is absolutely void and without jurisdiction rightly quashed the same. No case is made out requiring our interference. This order, however, shall not preclude the competent authority to issue notification under Section 22-A of the Registration Act, 1908. With the observations as above, the writ appeal shall stand dismissed. No costs. DT.29.07.2004 msv.
