The petitioner seeks to be treated as a 'Local Candidate' for the State of Telangana for the purposes of admission to the Competent Authority Quota in Medical institutions in the State for the academic year 2025-2026 as per the advertisement dated 15.07 .2025. Petitoner contends that she has studied up to Class-X in educational institutions within the State of Telangana but due to transfer of his father who is working with Railway 2 rr) Protection Force (RpF) and was posted at Nancied in the State of Maharashtra, she undertook h:r int.ernediate education in Residential Junior Col_tege, r,/isakhapatnam, which falls within the State of Andhra praclesh. petitioner submits that in terms of the decision of thr: Apex Court in The State of Telangana v. Kalluri Na.ga Narasimha Abhiramr dated 01.09.2025 (Annext re p9) and G.O.Ms.No.150 dated 08.09.2025, the resp rnclents should consider her case as a 'Local Candidate, frrr admission to the MBBS/BDS Course.

Leamed Standing Counsel for ttre respondent University submits that for the petitioner to fadl in the category of 'Local Candidate', the conditions stipulated in G.O.Ms.No.150 dated OB.O7.2O2S have to t)e satisfied. If the petitioner is able to produce two cerlificrrtes i,e., (l) the Certificate of Nativity of the State of Telanga na and (2) the Certificate for having studied for the I€LSI two years preceding the quali$ring exam outsid: the State conunensurate wittr the period of posting o[ Lris father in I CA @ SLP (C) Nos.2t536-2l588 of 2024 etc I I I i I I I l .xF:=r . ,./ 3 Railway Protection Force [RPF) i.e., paramilitary force, apart from the prevrous education for the remaining two years in the State of Telangana i.e., up to Class-X, her case cart be considered as a '[,ocal Candidate' in t]re ensuing admission process.

In the Iight of what has been noted above, Iiberty is granted to the petitioner to approach the respondent University with the requisite certificates as above for being treated as a local candidate for admission to the MBBS/BDS Course under Competent Authority Quota in the Medical Institutions in the State of Telangana under I I advertisement dated 15.O7.2025. If the petitioner approaches the respondent University with the aforesaid certificates and satisfies the aforesaid conditions, her case may be considered as a local candidate in the ensuing admission process.
