2. The petitioner filed this writ petiuon seeking a direction to the respondents to permit him to register online and exercise web option for admission into MBBS/BDS course under Management Quota "B" category for the academic year 2025-2026 in the ongoing or next phase of counselling. \
3. l,earned counsel for ttre petitioner submits t]rat inadvertently the pefitioner could not register for admission under Management Quota "B" category. Therefore, the University is not permitting him to seek admission under I I .- Management Quota "B" category. He further submits that the petitioner be granted liberty to submit a represerrtalion to the University rvith regard to his grievance and on such representatir,n being filed, the University may be directed to consider the same in line with similar order dated 21.OA.2O25, passed by this Court, in other case such as W.P.No.2456O of
4. [rarned Standing Counsel for the Universitl, strbmits that the last date of applications for registraLion has bt:en closed and the UniversLty cannot extend the date. He submits that the counselling process has commenced since I5.O9.2O25, after the issue of 'local candidate' was decided by the Hon'ble Supreme Court urde judgment dated 0I.09.2025 in Special l,eave Pettion (C) Nos.2l536-2f 588 ot2024. Therefore, the Univt:rsity would not be in a position to entertain the petitioner's application for registration for admission to MBBS/BDS Course under Managenrent Quota 'B' category. It would be a fu Lile exercise. \

Havir g regard to the aforesaid circumstallces and upon I consideration of the submission of learned counsel for the parties, w3 are of the view that since the admission to 3 MBBS/BDS course has a definite timeline required to be adhered to by the University and the cut off dates for application or counselling are sacrosanct, there is no point in asking the University to consider the petitioner's application for fresh registration and participating in the ongoing counselling for admission to MBBS/BDS course under Management Quota 'B' category. Therefore, we are not inclined to issue any directions to that effect.
6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed.

At this stage, learned counsel for the peti oner submits that in case the date of applications for registra on to the above courses is extended, the petitioner may be granted liberty to submit application for admission to MBBS/BDS Course under Management Quota 'B' category and on such application being filed, the University may be directed to consider the same.
8. It goes without saying that in case the date of applications for registration to the above courses is extended, it would be open lor the petiLioner to make such an application, which would be considered by the respondents in accordance with law.
