Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying that in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed therewith, the High Court may be pleased to issue an order or direction or writ, more particularly one in the nature of writ of f\rlandamus, declare the action of the respondents in not considering my daughter candidature for admission into MBBS Seat under SC Group-1 Category who secured Rank 147552 and obtained 132 marks out of 72O marks and the total percentile marks obtained is 46.6347745 only on sole ground that Online Counseling Registration was not done is illegal, arbitrary, u nconstitutio nal and violative of Article 14 and 16 of the constitution of lndia and consequenfly direct the respondents to give one opportunrty to submiUregister online counseling registration keeping in view that the petitioner's daughter belongs to SC Group I Category r.e. Petitioner seeks consideration of her prayer for registration for admission to MBBS course under SC Group-I category and participating in the ongoing counselling proccss for the academic year 2025-26. She is a native of Telangana State. According to her representation dated 16.09.2025, she , t 2 ,(.J lAKrS, Jl & GN4M. J ',v P N,i 2896I of 2025 :arf1 has not apptied for registration. The date of apolications was also over and the website was closed 1c,r ont1 Petitioner contends that she has fair chanc'. s of getting admission in NEET

4. Learncd Standing Counsel for the lJni'vr:rsitv submits that the last date of applications for registrrtlitln has been closed and thc LJr.riversity cannot extend the dat.r. He subn.rits that the counselling proccss has commenced ,,n 15.09.2025 after the issue of 'local candidate' was decided l''y the l{on'ble Supreme Court vide judgment dated 01.09.2C25 in Special Leave Petition (C) Nos.21536-21588 of 2024. l'herefore, the \ University would not be in a position tt: entertain the petitioner's application for registration fbr admir;sion to MBBS J HCJ IAIGS, J) & CMM, J w P No 28961 or2025 course under SC Group-I category. lt would be a futile exerclse.

Having regard to the aforesaid circumstances and upon consideration of the subrnissions of learned counsel for the parties, we are of the view that since the admission to MBBS course has a definite timeline required to be adhered to by the University and the cut olf dates lor application or counselling are sacrosanct, there is no point in asking the University to consider the petitioner's application for registration and participating in the ongoing counselling for admission to MBBS course under SC Group-I category. Therefore, we are not inclined to issue any direction to that effect.
6. Accordingly, the instant Writ Petition is dismissed.

At this stage, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in case the date of applications for registration to the above course is extended, the University may be directed to consider the application ofthe petitioner for registration for admission to MBBS course under SC Group-I category. It goes without saying that in case the date of applications fbr registration to tl.re above coursr, is extended, it would open for the petitioner to make such a-r application, which would be considered by the respondent University in accordance with law.
