6. The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondent police authorities are allegedly interfering with his possession and with the ongoing civil litigat on between the petitioner and the unofficial respondents, despite the subsrstence of a civil court injunction order. On the other hand, the respondent police authorities categorically deny any such interference, asserting that no action prejudicial to the petitioner's rights has been taken by them.
7. Having regard to the limited jurisdiction of the police authorities in matters of purely civrl nature, and in order to prevent any possible misuse of police powers, it is hereby directed that the respondent police authorities shall refrain from interfering in the petitioner's possession and the civil proceedings pending between the parties. ,.------------ _)
8. However, it is clarified that this shall not preclude the respondent police authorities from taking any action strictly in accordance with law' if circumstances so warrant, or in the discharge of their lawful duties following due process of law.
