2. According ro rhe pe[tioner, he is a resident of _felangana State. His parents are also native of Telangana State. FIe had studicd Class IX and X in Sarnik Schooi, punglwa, Nagaland State during the academic vars 2022_23. He has undertaken his schooling nght throughour from Class I to VIII in the State of 1'elangana. However he has not been treated as ],ocal Candidate' in view of G.O.Ms.No.33 dated 1,9.07.2024 and amendmenr to rhc same zzle G.O.Ms.No.150 dated OB.OL.2O25, to partlcipate in counselling process for the purposc of 2 \ admission to MBBS/BDS course. Thercfore, he has approached this Court

4. Learned Standing Counsel for thc Unirrersity submits that if the petitioner claims to bc a sponsorcd candidate of the Statc o[ Telangana having studied rn Sainik School' Punglwa in the State o[ Nagaland, he would be permitted to exetcise wcb option and u,ill be called [or counselling'

It is subrnitted that since therc was one Sainik School where rhc srudents of both the Srates havc undertaken their srudies, in view of arrange ment made under Sccdon 95 of thc Andhra pradesh Reorganizatio n Act,2()11, thc Department has decided to grant relaxaflon to the students of Telangaoa State who have srudicd in Sainik 4 I School in the Sate o[ Andhta Pradesh' al] 2024 i e ' in the last ten (10) vears.

Both the petitioners har.e srudied in Sainik School outside the State of l'clansana cither under llome Stare quora or as a sponsored candidate of the Statc of .Ielangana. Thetefore, thc petitioner's case can be treated on the same foodng as that of tlre petirioner in g/.p.No.27933 of 2025. Accordingly, the petitioner shall approach the Universiq. for consideration of his case as 'Local Candidate,for admission to MBBS/BDS course for the academic year 2025_26 with proof of srudy in Sarnik School, Punglwa in the State of Nagaland as sponsored candidate of the State of Telangata ancl the certificatc of nativity of the State of Telangana. On fulfilling the aforesaid conditions, respondent No.2_ University shall fteat the , I 6 I petitioner as 'Local Candidate' fot counselling and adm'isston to 2025-26 in the State MBBS/BDS course for the academic 'teat of Telangana in the competcnt authority quota
