2. Heard learned counsel for the pe titioncr, learned Government Pleader for Energr on behalf of Respondent No. 1, Sri N. Sreedhar Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for TGSpDCL on behalf of Respondents 2 to 4 and Sri G.MadhusrJdhan Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for Respondent No.5 - Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.

Ms. Nikita Goenka, learned counsel for petitioner submits that in similar circumstances, while dealing with Writ petition No. 2ol2l of 2025, this Court by order dt. 14.07.2025 directed the respondents authorities therein to release the service connection, subject to the compliance of the statutory requirements by the petitioner therein, and hence, requested this Court to pass similar order in this Writ petition also. 2

4. Recendy, the Honble Supreme Court in Rajend.ra Kumar Barjatga u. U.P. Auas Evam Vikas Parishad.l , in the larger public interest, issued directions in addition to the directives issued in Rz: Directions in the matter of demolition of structures. Relevant for the purpose of this case are: "(iv) (") (vi) (vii) .\ll the necessary service connections, such as, 3lectriciby, water supply, sewerage connection, ,:tc., shall be given by the service provider / .3oard to the buildings only after the production ,rf the completion / occupation certihcate. .lven after issuance of completion certificate, rleviation / violation if any contrary to the planning permission brought to the notice of the authority immediate steps be taken by the r;aid guthoriry concerned, in accordance with law, dgainst the builder / owner / occupant; zrnd the ofhcial, who is responsible for issuance of wrongful completion / occupation certihcate r;hall be proceeded departmentally forthwith. I{o permission / licence to conduct any lrusiness / trade must be given by any ttuthorities including local bodies of States ,'Union Territories in any unauthorised building irrespective of it being residential or r ommercial building. 1'he development must be in conformity with the zonal plan land usage. Any modification to s,uch zonal plan and usage must be taken by s trictly following the rules in place land in c onsideration of the larger public interest and the impact on the environment".

Since the prayer of petitioner in this writ petition is to receive her applicatron and release individual service connection, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the | 2024 scc Online SC 3767 3 respondents to receive the application of petitioner and release individual service connection to the aforementioned property of the petitioner, subject to the petitioner complying with the directions issued by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in RaJend.ra Kumar Barjdtga's case (supra) and the statutory requirements prescribed by the local authorities.
