3. Leamed Government Pleader for Civil Supplies, as well as Sri K. Devender, learned Standing Counsel for 'I'elangana State Civil Suppties Corporation, submitted that thc shortlall pertains to the vcar 2022-23 and that the paddy was procured at Rs'24,2'00 70 per metric ton at the relevant point of time, which has been adollted lor valuation purposes. It was also submitted that an FIR was registered in thc year 2024 and the petitioner has not made any payment towards the shortfall till date.

1. Lenald counsel for the petitioner, howcver, refuted the contention that the paddy was procured at Rs.24.200.70 pcr metric ton and he has drawn the attention to the Minimum Support I'ricc lor labi 2022-23,, which was at Rs.20,600 per metric ton'

I-laving considered the rival contentions. this (lour1 is of the opinion that the above contentions have to be c:onsidered by the concerned authorities and an appropriate decision should be taken thereon. In the meantime, the petitioner is directcd to pay the atrount towards the shortfall at the rate of Rs.20,600/- per rnetric ton within a period of two (02) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, the resp ondents shall considel the representation of I I { I I I I I 5 TMD,J wP 26021 2025 the petitioner dated 01.08.2025 regarding the balance amount in accordance with law and pass orders accordingly. Till such time, provided the petitioner makes the said payment within a period of two weeks as directed above no coercive steps shall be taken against him. 6 With the above direction, rhis Writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
