The, learned Assistant Governrnent Pleader for Horne contends that the respondents have never sulnrnoned the petitioner to the police station, nor have they exerled any pressure upon hirn to alienate his agricultural property, as I It alleged in the writ petition. It is urged tltat, in the atrsence of any cogent material substantiating such allegations, the clairns advanced in the writ petition are devoid of merit and the petition therefore deserves clisruissal. 2

5. I have carefully perused the pleadings and rnaterials available on record.

Having regard to the subrnissions of counsel, the documentary record, and the interirn order of this Court dated 28.04.2016, it is deerned appropriate to reiterate that the respondent/police are expressly restrained frotn exerting any forrn of coercion or undue influence upon the petitioner or any other party, even under the guise of registered crirne. Should the situation warrant investigation, the respondents shatt strictly adhere to the statutory framework. Any investigative action urust therefbre'be undeftaken only in accordance with due process of law, ensuring the protection of the fundarnental rights guaranteed under Articles 2l and 22 of theConstitution of India'
