2. Petitioners are twenty three (23) in number. They are the family members of the deceased persons, who died due to 'thunderbolt'. They are entitled for ex gratia in terms of G.O.Ms.No.2, Revenue (Disaster Management.i) Department, dated 19.07.2018. Even then respondent Nos.l and 2 are not paying the said benefit to the petitioners herein. Therefore. petitioners got issued legal notice dated 30.06.2025 to respondent Nos.l and 2 with a request to pay the aforesaid amount. Despite receiving and acknowledging the said legal notice, respondent Nos.l and 2 did not act upon the same. Aggrieved by the said inaction of respondent Nos. I and 2, petitioners filed the present writ petition.
