SREEDHAR REDDY sc FoR TGSPDCL The Court made the following: ORDER - THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE NAGFSH BHEEMAPAKA WRIT PETITIO N No.251 6l oF 2()25 o RDER: The grievance of the petitioners in this Writ Petition is totheactionoftherespondents,moreparticularlyrespondent No.3, in not providing electricity connections and not releasing supply of power with meters to the petitioners' subject building' and thus, sought for a direction to the 3'd respondent to process the petitioners' applications for providing electricity connections and to release power supply to their subject building with meters.

2. Heard learned counsel for petitioners' Sri N' Sreedhar Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for TGSPDCL appearing for respondent Nos.2 to 6

When the matter is taken up for hearing' learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondents submits that as per conditions No.6 to 8 of the permit order, 01'02 2O2O' issued by tJle concerned authorities of GHMC, the petitioners have to submit Occupancy Certihcate as a precondition for seeking electricity connection, and if only the petitioners produce the th. respondents-authorities would consider the case of ".ri!, Z the petitioners for providing electricity connectiorL as sought for by tlem.

4. Learned Standing Counsel further submits that the issue involved in this Writ Petition is squarely covered lty the order of this Court in WP.No.2332l of 2025, dt.OZ.OB.2O2E,.

5. The above said submissions made by the learned Stalding Counsel are not disputed by the learned counsel for the petitioners.

6. This Court, by referring to the recent juiigment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Rajendra Kuma.r Bo.rjdtga u. tl.p. Avas Eaam Vikas parishadr disposed of the ;eforesaid writ petition uide WP.No.23321 of 2O2S by order dt.07.O8.2025. In the said decision, the Hon,ble Supreme Court in the iarger public interest, issued directions in addition to the directives issued in Re: Directions in the matter of demolition of structures, and one among the others is electricity connection shall be given by the service provider/Board to the buildings only after the production of the completion/occupation certificate. In view of the same, and for reasons as were stated in the Writ Petition, urde W.P.Nos.2332t of 2025, dt.OZ.O8.2O2S, and. in terms thereot this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the petitioners to approach the municipal authorities concerned first for issuance of occupancy certificate. On producing such certihcate only, respondent - TGSPDCL shall consider the case of petitioners for release of electricity connection, subject to the petitioners complying all the statutory requirements as required in law. No order as to costs.
