5.ThelearnedAssistantGovernmentPleaderforHome submits that the present writ petition seeks quashment of the proceedings in crime No. 1017 of 2016 on tl.e file of the Banjara Hills Police Station. It is submitted that, during the pendency of lhepresentproceedings, theinvestigationwasdulycompleted, and a charge sheet was frled. consequently, the case has been ! 2 \ taken on file as C.C. No. 245 of 2018 before the Court of t]le III Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Hyderabad, and the matter is presently pending for trial, Iisted on 24.1O.2025. Hence, it is contended that, since the trial proceedings are actively continuing, the present writ petition has become infructuous and is liable to be dismissed.

6. I have perused the material available on record.

7. The prayer of the petitioner is for quashment of the crimina-l proceedings. However, as reported by the learned Assistant Government Pleader, the investigation has culminated in the frling of a charge sheet, which has disclosed a triable case. The learned trial Court, having examined the material placed before it, has taken cognizance of the offences and even framed charges against the petitioner. These developments clearly indicate that a prima facie case exists for adjudication in the course of trial.

8. In these circumstances, and in the absence of any material placed before this Court demonstrating that tJle proceedings are manifesfly illegal, malicious, or an abuse of process, this Court finds no justification to exercise its inherent or extraordinary jurisdiction to quash the proceedings.

9. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. However, the -rights of the petitioner are reserved to raise all permis5jflg 3 t contentions and grievances before the learned trial Court' in accordance with law, if so advised' There shall be no order as to Miscellaneous Petitions, pending if any' shall stand closed' Sd/.B.REKHA RANI REG //TRUE COPY/ N OFFICER '/ \ To,
