3. Heard Mr.R.Laxmikanth Reddy, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home appearing for respondents

4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home submits that \ respondents No.3 and 5 have never interfered in the civil disputes of the petitioner, as alleged. On the contrary, it is pointed out that the I t petitioners themselves are accused in Crime Nos.36 and 62 of 2017, in which charge sheets have been filed and the matters are presently I I I 2 pending trial. Hence, it is contended that the allegations of the petitioners are devoid of merit, and dismissal of the writ petition is prayed for

6. The specific grievance of the petitioner is that respondents No.3 to 5 are interfering in the petitioner's civil litigations. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, and considering the pendency of criminal proceedings against the petitioners, it is clarified that the role of the police is limited and does not extend to interfering in civil disputes. Even during investigation or prosecution of criminal cases, respondents No.3 to 5 are directed not to interfere with the civil litigations of the petitioner, except strictly in accordance wrth law and by following due process
