Judgment

THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE V.V.S. RAO WRIT PETITION No.59 of 2007 ORDER: The petitioner herein filed an application before the District Collector, East Godavari District, requesting mutation and correction of revenue records. She also requested the District Collector to read the said application as revision under Section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 1971. Alleging that there is no response, the present Writ Petition is filed. Admittedly, the petitioner approached the District Collector only in October, 2006. Even before the enquiry is initiated, the present Writ Petition is filed in great haste. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to issue a mandamus as prayed for. This Court, however, observes that the first respondent or the Joint Collector, East Godavari District, may look into the application and if it is found to be properly made, pass necessary orders thereon in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Writ Petition, with the above observation, is accordingly dismissed. No costs. ____________
