WRIT PETITION NO.22869 OF 2010

ORDER:

(per the Hon’ble the Chief Justice Shri Madan B. Lokur) Learned counsel for the respondents has brought to our notice an order dt.23.1.2012 passed by the Supreme Court in Bineeta Pandey v. Union of India [W.P. (CRL.) No.1 of 2011].

2.

Since the Supreme Court is already seized of the matter, there is no useful purpose in continuing with the present writ petition in which a prayer is made for the appointment of an independent agency to investigate into the alleged fake encounter wherein Sri Cherukuri Raj Kumar alias Azad and Sri Hemachandra Pandey were killed.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
