THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE C.V.RAMULU W.P.No.14854 of 1996 ORDER: This writ petition is filed seeking a Mandamus to declare the G.O.Ms.No.14 dated 11.3.1996 issued by the respondent as arbitrary and illegal. Under the impugned G.O, the Government of Andhra Pradesh, in exercise of its powers conferred under sub-section (1) of Section 5 of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 (Central Act XI of 1948), and after having consulted with the State Minimum Wages Advisory Board, fixed the minimum wages for certain classes of employees. I am of the opinion that they are revisable once in five years. Therefore, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication as of now and the same is liable to be dismissed. Writ petition is dismissed accordingly. No costs. _________ 12-12-2006
