2. Heard Sri B. Nageshwar Rao, learned counsel for the petitioners, and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Services-III, appearing for the respondents. Perused the material on record
3. Brief facts of the case are that the petitioners appeared in the Special DSC, 2012 (District Selection Committee) for appointment as Secondary Grade Teachers (SGTs), and being members of the Scheduled fribe (ST) community, were selected and appointed in the year 2013 by the Tribal Welfare Department, with postings in various tribal schools in the agency areas by the respective Deputy Directors (Tribal Welfare). At the time of their appointment, their pay was fixed at Rs.21230-63010, and after adding notional increments, their pay as on 01.08.2017 stood at Rs.23740-2L230-
63010. Subsequently, they came to know that similarly placed teachers appointed in April 2013 at ITDA Eturunagaram, Mulugu District under the safie_Dsc-2012 were receiving a higher pay of Rs.25840-21230-63010 as on April 2017, despite having the same 2 qualifications and performing identical duties. The petitioners, who were appointed in August 2013 due to administrative delay in certiFicate verification, brought the pay disparity to the notice of the respondents and sought pay parity. They were informed that similarly placed persons had filed W.P.No.42665 of 2017 and that their cases would be considered subject to the outcome of the said writ petition. The said writ petition was allowed on 13.03.2025, directing extension of pay benefits from 2013 onwards to the petitioners therein. However, when the present petitioners sought similar benefits, the respondents refused, stating that the relief was restricted to the original petitioners, which the petitioners contend is arbitrary and contrary to the principles of equal pay for equal work. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioners filed the present Writ Petition.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that appropriate directions be issued to the respondents to consider the representations submitted by the petitioners dated 23.07.2025 and
24.07.2025, and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.
