Petition under Article 226 ol the Constitution of lndia praying thgt in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed therewith, the High Court may be pleased to issue any Writ, Order or Direction, more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, declaring the action of the respondents, more particularly respondent No.5 and their subordinate officers at L. B. VINOD KUMAR Writ Petition No.18336 of 2025 ORDER Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, learned Government Pleader for Home appearing for respondent Nos.l to 5, and with the consent of the learned counsel appearing for the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing and disposal afthe admission stage.
2. Having regard to the manner of disposal of the Writ Petition at the admission stage and the nature of /s involved, this Court is of the view that notice to unofficial respondent Nos.6 and 7 is not necessary for adjudication of the present Writ Petition.
3. Shorn of unnecessary details, the case of the petitioners, in brief, is that, the 5th respondent is calling them to the police station and making them sit from morning till evening without there being any complaint/case registered against them, and thereby, intefering in the civil dispute, and coercing the petitioners to settle the same with the unofficial respondents herein, which action of the respondents-authorities, it is contended as illegal and arbitrary.

Per contra, learned Government Pleader for Home appearing on behalf of respondent Nos.1 to 5, while denying the writ averments, would submit that the 7th respondent had approached the 5th respondent 2 authority and lodged a complaint on 26.06.2025 alleging that the petitioners taking the gold ornaments from them to be used in the marriage, however, instead of returning the sam_., had mortgaged the said gold ornarnents without the consent of the uncfficiel respondents and thus, sought to initiate action against the petitioners herein. 5. Learned Government pleader further srrbmits that on the 7th respondent lodging the aforesaid representation/complaint, the authorities have registered a case, vide Crime No.631 of 2025 on 27.06.2025 and are investigating thereinto; and that since the respondents-authorities have registered the aForese,id crrme against the petitioners, in order to prevent the authorities from investigating into the aforesaid crime, the petitioners have come up with the present Writ Petition by making farse a,egations of the unofficiar respondents seeking to use the 5th respondent omce to setUe the dispute relating to payment of monies in chit fund business being run by the unoFFcial respondent. 6. The aforesaid submission made by the rearned Government preader for Home appearing for respondent l!os.1 to 5 is praced on record. 7' In view of the aforesaid submission and taking note of the fact that a case, vide Crime No.631 of 2025 dt.27.06.2025 is reqistered against the petitioners herein, this Couft is of the view that the respondents_ I [._ t 3 authorities are to be directed to conduct investigation into the aforesaid crime strictly in accordance with law.
