Pending this petition, the parties have entered into the compromise and, accordingly, they moved l.A.Nos.3 and 4 of 2025 with the prayer to permit them to enter into compromise and by recording the settlement to quash the proceedings against the petitioners/accused Nos'1 to 5 & 7 in -Crime No.7B7 of 2025- 2 ATTR,/ l.,,l.Nor) and4 o.l'2025 in/and Crl.P.No.8086 of 2025

5. This Courtvide order dated 10.07.2025 referred the parties to the High Court Legal Services Committee for identification and to verify the voluntariness in arriving the settlement. The Secretary, High Court Legal Services Committee, has submitted report dated 31.07.2025 stating that the parties were identified by their respective counsel and also on verification of Aadhar Cards/ldentity Cards and the enquiries revealed that the parties have willfully and without coercion entered into settlemenUcomprom ise.

6. I have considered the submissions of the learned counsel and perused the materials on record.

7. The accusations against petitioners/accused Nos. 1 to 5 and 7 in the police report are that on 2g.05.2o1g, the de facto complainant's marriage was performed with Konadoddi Vijay Kumar in the presence of elders, and later, her husband and in-laws began harassing her. On

31.05.2025, she gave birth to a baby girl. Since then, her husband, mother-in-law Shyamala, and brothers-in-law Vinay, Krishna, and Sunil have been harassing her physically and mentally because she gave birth to a female child. On 15.06.2025 at 15:00 hours, her husband called her brother Uday Kumar and her mother. By 17:00 hours, her husband and brothers-in-lawsA/inay, Krishna, Sunil, Shekar, and Shiva assaulted her brother. Having considered the allegations, the nature of charged offences and taking into account the amicable settlement between the parties and to restore peace among them, in the liglrt of the dictums in Gian Singh y. .Sfate of Puniab and another' and Anit Mishra v. Sfafe of tt.P.z; Sfate of Madhya Pradesh v. Laxmi Narayan and others3, this Court is of the considered view that quashment of the impugned proceedings in view of the settlement by exercising jurisdiction under Section 528 of BNSS, 2023, would be in the interest of justice. B. Accordingly, l.A.Nos.3 and 4 of 2025 are allowed.
