O R D E R: This writ petition is filed for the following substantive relief:
To issue an appropriate writ, order or direction more particularly a writ in the nature of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not considering our applications to revise the electoral roles by including our names, among others, and by deleting the names of persons who have died or otherwise not residing within territorial limits of Ward No.26 of Chittoor Municipality, and in not following the mandatory procedure laid down under the representation of the People Act, 1950 and the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1965, as well as the A.P. Municipalities and Nagar Panchayats (Preparation and Publication of Electoral Rolls) Rules, 2001, notwithstanding the petitioners’ numerous representations as being illegal, arbitrary, voilative of the Constitution and statutory provisions as to our right to vote and to contest the elections and consequently direct the respondents to rectify the voters list before conducting the elections to the Ward No.26 of Chittoor Municipality and pass such other and further order or orders as are deemed fit and proper.
Smt. P.Padmavathi, learned counsel representing Sri D.Seshadri Naidu, learned counsel for the petitioner, seeks permission of the Court to withdraw the writ petition. Since the writ petition is yet to be admitted, the request of the learned counsel is accepted and the writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
