Aggrieved by the same, petitioners filed w'P No 25g15 0t 2023 and this Court uitre order dated 03.10.2023 suo nloto initiatcd contempt proceeding and the same was numbercd as C.C.No.2241 0f 2023. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners under accepted the compensation and thereafter' protest letter daled 07 '772023' petitioners under Section 64 of the Act' made an application ort 14'11'2023 ar.d requested respondent No'2 to forward the apptication belore the authority for enhancement and the same was numbeied as L A O P No 1134 of 2024' on the file of the Land Acquisition' Rehabiiitation and Resettlemcnt Authority The said L.A.O.P was listed on 29 05'2025 and on request of the respondents therein for filing counter, it was adjourned to 06'08-2025' Learned counsel further submits that the petitioners are senior citizens and are eagerly waiting for the appropriate comPensation for their acquired lands and pray this Court { 4 to direct the authority to expedite the hearing of L.A.o.p.No .734 of 2024, pending on the file of the Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlc,rent Authority and pass orders in a time bound perioci.
