Operative part
In this petition, the petitioners have prayed for striking down Section 1(2) of Bonus Act, 1965. Learned counsel for the petitioners says that she has been instructed not to press the petition. In view of the statement made by the learned counsel, the writ petition is dismissed as not pressed. As a sequel to dismissal of the writ petition as not pressed, interim order dated 01.12.1990 passed in W.P.M.P.No.33450 of 1995 shall stand automatically vacated and the miscellaneous petition shall stand dismissed. While disposing of the writ petition in the manner indicated above, I deem it proper to make it clear that the competent authority shall be entitled to take all legally permissible actions in the matter of non-payment of bonus, if any, by the petitioners to the workmen.
